China’s latest glass-bottomed suspension bridge opened at the end of 2017 in Hebei Province’s Hongyagu Scenic Area. Boasted the longest of its kind in the world, Hongyagu glass bridge has a 488 meter span over a vertical drop of 218 meters. While it is designed to hold 3,000 people, only 600 people are allowed to cross it at a time. To make it even scarier, the bridge is designed to sway when tourists walk across it. Tourists can enjoy Hongyagu’s unique geographic landscape with mountain views, natural waters, ancient towns and temples while walking on the bridge.
