Treasure Island hosts the 9th Annual Sanding Ovations Masters Cup Sand Sculpture Competition and Music Festival November 15-19, 2017
Sand sculptors from around the world are in Tampa Bay for the 9th Annual Sanding Ovations Master’s Cup. With $14,000 in prize money on the line, sculptors have four days to sculpt their creation. Each sculpture has 14 tons of “coral sand” to work with. This special sand has a fine texture and is easier to sculpt with the sand you typically find on the beach. The public is invited to attend this free event and watch as the masterpieces are created.
