The Silver Muse is Silversea’s first new ship for eight years, and one step on board reveals a showstopper. There are several defining features which elevate this ship to the peak of luxury. Unlike other cruises, every cabin on the Muse is a suite. These are fitted with marble bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes, covering a standard layout of 400 square feet.
Larger suites are 768 square feet and most of the rooms feature full-sized bath tubs. The premier rooms - called the Owner’s Suites - are 1,100 square feet and decorated with Silversea Chairman Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio’s personal art collection, books and port wines. Every room comes with its own butler who greets their guests with drinks on arrival. They also unpack bags and cater to any requests you might have whilst on board. Rather than a main dining room, the ship has opted for several more intimate restaurants.
Eight high-end restaurants serve cuisines including Peruvian, Italian, Argentinian and French. One such restaurant, La Dame by Relais & Chateaux, serves guests gold leaf risotto and lobster bisque. There are also numerous swanky cocktail bars and a jazz club to entertain passengers. Up on deck is a sprawling pool, while down below a spa offers indulgent treatments including botox.
