About the Drina River:
In the ancient times, it was called Drinos. Because of the green color of water, people gave it name Zelenika (zeleno=green). The Drina River extends Tara Mountain from the northwestern and northern sides and is the largest river in the municipality of Bajina Basta with the length of 60 km. It is one of the cleanest rivers in Serbia. In the glory of the old rafters, who transported different kinds of load on the river, Drina’s regatta is being held every year in July.
At the same time, it is held MOST FEST – a music festival that gathers some of the largest groups from the territory of the former Yugoslavia. The festival is held at the confluence of Raca and Drina.
During the manifestation, there is a mini fair of souvenirs of local craft, honey, and brandy in the square in Bajina Basta.
