And here it comes the time of the year when I love to explore forests and mountains, great outdoors and gorgeous landscapes of Rocky Mountains in Colorado.I have never enough of hiking to alpine lakes and old mining ghost towns, Maroon Bells breathtaking views and slow drive from Independence pass to the Aspen village. Every season here is beautiful, but my favorite is the time in October when aspen trees explode in all amazing shades of yellow. 
And by the way, did you know that Colorado’s aspen trees are the largest living organisms on Earth?
Yes, It’s a forest, but all of its 47,000 aspen trees come from a single root system spread over 106 acres in Utah, making it genetically one individual.
